” for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] [Josh. 1:5.]”
Hebrews 13:5 AMP
Have you ever had your gas light come on, but you are already late for something & it’s rainy cold weather? You just dread knowing you have to get out and pump your gas, plus you have no time. Some people have a a thing where it tells them how many miles they have to go, before they have to start walking, but in my car the light just comes on. When it comes on I have no clue how many miles I have to go, that’s if I even notice when it comes on. My husband tells me to fill up when I have a quarter of a tank left, I fail to do that quiet often. One day you may see me walking in the cold rain, because I wasn’t aware of my tank going empty.
In life we tend to have a to do list & finishing it is unimaginable. Physically we become so busy with life in general, we become unaware that our tank is running on fumes. When we make a to do list, we have to also remember to fit a refueling in that list. When I become overwhelmed with things, I can look back at my list and realize I never took time to refuel with God. The thing is, even though life’s to do list can overtake us & leave us on empty, God is always right there ready to fill our tank. In times when we plead saying “God I need you, I can’t do this by myself”, He’s there, because He will never leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5)! All we have to do is pull in, He offers full service (without a price increase too).
We just have to be aware of the gas light, during the routine of life. Don’t even let your light come on, keep your soul always filled. Don’t overlook your time with God on the to do list, when we do overlook God feeling overwhelmed sets in & no one likes that feeling. When I run on fumes physically, I become overwhelmed, anxious, headaches arise, chest pains starts, fatigue starts, hunger pains starts, etc. If I don’t refuel physically my body can physically break down. With that being said if we spiritual run on fumes & don’t refuel our spiritual side our mind & our heart breaks down, We then forget Who is there to refill us. Just remember be aware of your spiritual tank, don’t overlook it in the scheme of life. He doesn’t overlook us. Without him I would be walking aimlessly around, trying to find the fuel station. God won’t let us run on empty.
Don’t forget to catch your breath and be refueled by God. Dig in the Word & have conversations with God, He’s always there & always on time.
