“Surround yourself with people who ENCOURAGE YOU, INSPIRE YOU, & BELIEVE IN YOUR DREAMS“~ Heather K Jones
“So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind.”
1 Thessalonians 5:11MSG
In life we make friends, some are life long friends and some part ways. That is just the way it is. As we get older we have new interest, and your friends will change. Growing up I was the new kid at 6 different schools, that was the life of a Pastor’s Kid, which was ok. That being said, God placed me with the friends I needed for every season in my life.
When finding friends go for the “HOPIES” and not “NOPIES”!
“HOPIES” the ones who believe in you & encourage you to see the big picture
“NOPIES” the ones who think the worst of everything and are never encouraging.
That being said, God has never failed to place me with “Hopies”, not saying we don’t have down and negative days. It never fails when I have a bad day, one of my “HOPIES” always say the right thing to lift my spirits.
We all need to be “HOPIES”, we need to reach out to the “NOPIES” and offer hope, just like God does for us every single day, every single hour, every single minute & every single second.
When you surround yourself with people who encourage you, inspire you & believe in you, you become SUPERMAN or SUPERWOMAN! You have the confidence to conquer the world. My Hope in Christ gives me confidence daily, but my “HOPIE” crew just boost that confidence more.
I don’t think I could have started this blog without my friends & my husband . 😉 They never doubted me, they encouraged me. I want that for you!
“Just as lotions and fragrance give sensual delight, a sweet friendship refreshes the soul.” Proverbs 27:9 MSG
Friends will refresh your soul, pray for God to send you those types of friends. If you see a “NOPIE” try to encourage them to see what God can do for them, & the bright future He has for them. Be a “HOPIE” and help change a “NOPIE”! Just don’t let a “NOPIE” change you!
Seen this quote on Pinterest “Be a Fountain, Not a Drain”, so it made me think of one of my first blogs…. We need to surround ourselves with fountains “encouragers”, but we also need to be someone’s fountain!
Thank God for placing me with friends who are encouraging, love me no matter what, inspire me, believe in me, and gives me time to catch my breath. He can do the same for you! I pray I am a Fountain & not a drain to the ones around me.
