“God—you’re my God!I can’t get enough of you!..” Psalms 63:1
1.accept or admit the existence or truth of
2.recognize the fact or importance or quality of.
One night my daughter and I were going through McDonald’s drive thru, for an after cheer snack. We get to the food window, and the guy didn’t even act like we were there. He had our food out the window, & never once looked at us. He didn’t acknowledge we were even there. No thank you or have a great day. I looked at my daughter and she couldn’t believe it, and said “He never turned his head”. As I thought about this situation, I began to wonder do I act like that towards God. I acknowledge God, but how many times do I miss ACKNOWLEDGING Him. We can go through our daily lives, and miss such an opportunity. God doesn’t just deserve to be acknowledged, He deserves to be ACKNOWLEDGED!
When you want someone to pay attention to you, you don’t want someone to just acknowledge you are there, you want them to ACKNOWLEDGE that you are there and you have something to say. See God never just “acknowledges” us, He always “ACKNOWLEDGES” each of us. We are important to Him so He will give us His undivided attention. We can go through the day, time & life will go by and we simply just acknowledge God is there. I have to check myself to make sure life doesn’t get in the way of God.
I want to give God my best and my all, because He never falters giving that to me. God is my Provider, My Healer, My Strength, My Refuge, My Breath, My Life, My Guide, My Protector, My Creator, My Savior! I never want Him to think I don’t ACKNOWLEDGE His importance & His value. I can’t get enough of HIM!
David’s ACKNOWLEDGMENT of God in Psalms 23…… I LOVE IT!!!! I want to ACKNOWLEDGE God like this everyday.
1-3 God, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing. You have bedded me down in lush meadows, you find me quiet pools to drink from. True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction.
4 Even when the way goes through Death Valley, I’m not afraid when you walk at my side. Your trusty shepherd’s crook makes me feel secure.
5 You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing.
6 Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life. I’m back home in the house of God for the rest of my life.
Like I said GOD does not falter, He never has & He never will. Even when we don’t give Him our undivided attention, He gives us His all. He protects us, guides us, and lets us CATCH OUR BREATH!
So remember to always “ACKNOWLEDGE” Him, He deserves it! Thank you GOD!
